Taphens

Ancient Majesty! The great country of Taphens was never conquered by Rome. Rather after a long drawn out negotiation with its Pharoh it joined as an equal partnership. In a similar sense today they are strong supporters of The Amphictyony. They have an impressive architecture and great skills at farming. And, although their citizens do not have all of the civil liberties known elsewhere, they are always well fed.

They speak their own language and their upper classes can use a highly developed form of complex writing. They have a number of gods lead by Ra, Geb, Isis, Osiris, Ptah, Set, and Thoth.
